President Roger Hulne, state Legislative Committee member Tom Possley, state chair of the Educational Outreach Committee Gail Possley, and District III Co-Leader Ruth Wood of our unit all attended the WREA convention in Elkhart Lake and provided the membership with updates.
The Programming Committee planned some fun--with word geography, and song lyric competitions. Since collectively we were all pretty good at the games, clear winners didn't quite materialize! But it was fun anyway.
We will be meeting again at St. Croix Lanes on November 9th at 11:00 when our speaker will be Attorney Jenny O'Neill, who specializes in elder law. She will speak to us about issues that concern us all as we age--and we are told that she is an entertaining speaker. So, it won't all be somber and serious.
