On Monday, April 3, 2017, River Falls Area Retired Educators' Association sponsored an informational meeting for Wisconsin Retirement System participants who are considering retirement in the next few years.

Unit President Roger Hulne welcomed more than 115 attendees to the meeting. School districts represented included Spring Valley, St. Croix Central, Ellsworth, Hudson, Prescott, and River Falls. Employees of UW-River Falls were also in attendance.
Presenter Jesse Harness, former school superintendent and CESA director, provided WRS participants with important information regarding the retirement process.
